THE USE OF XYLITOL INSTEAD OF REFINED SUGAR

Xylitol is a natural sugar alcohol sweetner, found in the fibres of many fruits and vegetables.  It is a wonderful substitute to refined sugar and comes in a crystalized form that you can spinkle on food.  It is actually good for you and helps to reduce cavities and ear and sinus infections and it tastes good!  A great substitute to use in recipes, especially for children.  It also has antibacterial properties.  You can purchase it in the health section in your local supermarket, or at a health store.

AUGUST INSPIRATION-HOW BEAUTIFUL THE WIND CAN ACTUALLY BE!

Up until today, I have spent my entire life moaning about the wind!   I live against a mountainside and overlook the ocean, so we do get a lot of wind.  My husband has just returned from a trip overseas and he brought me a wind chime for the back garden.  Oh, how I love the wind now........I cannot wait for it to be windy, the sounds of the chimes are just gorgeous.  I think the lesson here, is to always look for the good in everything........

AUGUST INSPIRATION - ANGELS ARE EVERYWHERE!

While driving my children to school this morning, I literally drove through a rainfall of white feathers.  I really believe in Angels and that when we find white feathers, they are messages from Angels.  A dear friend of mine lost her husband 5 months ago and when I sent her a text message telling her that I had just driven through a rainfall of feathers, she replied by saying "Beautiful, his way of thanking you for your friendship".
